Buy Local Santa Monica Artist Storefront Improvement Projects

The City of Santa Monica Buy Local Program is seeking qualifications from artists and/or artist teams to create temporary storefront art installations, painted facades, art interventions for local businesses (in the various Business Improvement Districts) taking part in the City’s Buy Local Program. A Pre-Qualified list of Santa Monica-based artists and artist teams is being established with the aim of providing a unique opportunity to pair local businesses with Santa Monica-based artists in this unique pilot project, to create temporary artwork which will enhance the business storefront and/or façade.

At our Annual General Meeting on February 1, 2012, the Pico Improvement Organization elected five Board of Directors. Each seat is for a two-year term. Overall, the PIO has 9 Board of Directors. The Pico Improvement Organization announces its Business Incentive Program designed to attract new businesses to Pico Boulevard. The PIO will offer up to $1,200 worth of promotional services for every new business that is in the process of moving to Pico, or an existing Pico business that is in the process of relocating to a new address on Pico. The service includes the printing and neighborhood delivery of promotional door hangers welcoming your business to the Pico community.
